In the latter part of her career, German model Jessica Asher moved to Huntington Beach, California, to further her well-known focus on swimwear modeling. Jessica Asher’s emigration from Germany came after five years building a career overseas. Prior to gaining contracts with West Coast-based designers, Jessica Asher was the face of couture designer Lacey Lachienne’s poolside bikinis, separates, and one-piece swimsuits line. Soon after her move to Huntington Beach, Jessica Asher earned an on-going contract with YM Magazine as its in-house model. Jessica Asher modeled for the magazine’s numerous beauty, narrative, and fashion photo stories from 2000 until 2004. Jessica Asher received such recognition from American designers and companies from her strong roots in European fashion. Within a year of being scouted at a Hamburg, Germany, restaurant by Ludwig von Schlezinger of Mega Model Agency, Jessica Asher achieved top model status in her country as well as overseas. Jessica Asher’s first notable portfolio achievement was with a photo shoot in Japan for Vivi Magazine. Her gorgeous blonde hair made Jessica Asher a commodity for the Japanese publication’s summer swim issue. From 1995 to 1999, Jessica Asher filmed several commercials and other promotional materials for German-based companies, including Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee, Kuhne Mustard, and BMW. After her famous walk in Lacey Lachienne’s fashion show, Jessica Asher enrolled at the Universitat Kassel, where she majored in Communications. Jessica Asher thrived as a student, participating in the Backgammon Club and perfecting her foreign language skills with the Portuguese Club. Jessica Asher’s call to Huntington Beach put her college career on hold, but brought her great opportunities in film, television, runway, and print modeling.
